  INTRODUCTION

Nepal is a country with thousand of surprises. The highest mountains of the world are found here and among them, the Mt. EVEREST, rising with the top of populated valleys and forest plains where lives the tiger and the rhinoceros. Enchantment is everywhere, on the buttresses of the mountains, the field terraces going up in staircase towards the sky, on the calm rivers with the course precocity, in the forests full of wildlife, flowers and songs of birds. Each one will find something here. At Kathmandu, the capital, or in the neighborhoods, the crossing, of a street is a voyage through the centuries. Sanctuaries, temples, palace and the places which surround them, old sculptures, but also the legends hidden in chief-of oeuvre gilded, silver plated or of brick, make valley of Kathmandu an alive museum.
