Nepal is a country of highly diverse and rich geography, culture and religion.The mountainous north has eight of the world’s ten highest mountains,including the world’s highest Sagarmatha, known Sherpa Language "Chamulungma and in English as MT. EVEREST, rising with the top of populated valleys and forest plains where lives the tiger and the rhinoceros.It contains around 240 peaks more than 20,000ft(6096 metres) above sea level. The fertile and humid south is heavily urbanized. Enchantment is everywhere, on the buttresses of the mountains, the field terraces going up in staircase towards the sky, on the calm rivers with the course precocity, in the forests full of wildlife,flowers and songs of birds.At Kathmandu, the capital, or in the neighborhoods, the sanctuaries, temples, palace and the places which surround them, old sculptures, but also the legends hidden in chief-of oeuvre gilded, silver plated or of brick, make valley of Kathmandu an alive museum. 


INTRODUCTION
TREKKING ACCORDING TO SEASONS


Nepal is located at northern hemisphere so the seasons are same one as in Europe. But it is more to the South, it is naturally hotter here and the winters are colder there. It seldom snows below 2000m.

 

IN SUMMER
The period from June to August is the rainy season in Nepal but in Mustang, Dolpo, Rara and Simikot trekking is possible because these region are located on the lee-ward side of the Himalayan range and hence no rain falls in these areas including Tibet, which is the best region for tour and trekking in summer. 

IN AUTUMN
 The period from Mid-September to Mid-December is best season for the treks. The weather is very fine and the sights on the top are very clear during this period.

IN WINTER
The period from the Mid-December to Mid February is appropriate for the treks of low altitude. 

EQUIPMENTS
 Necessary for day: - affairs of toilet soap, towel, photo material, protection or sunglasses, water bottle, sunburn lotion, cream for lips, flashlight, umbrella, Kitbag, sleeping bag and necessary medicines, etc.

Entry

A visa is necessary to enter Nepal and can be obtained for 60 days at any Royal Embassy or Consulate of Nepalese or at the time of arrival at the airport of Kathmandu or other ground entrance points.

Fees of period

Children under 10 years need not pay any visa fee.
Two passport size photos are essential.
